Hi all,SMEG Dishwasher cutting out after 10 secs?

Hi all, I have a SMEG dishwasher model DI 612C which cuts out after about 10secs after starting but works intermittently. When it does work it finishes by leaving a large pool of water in the bottom. Power is going to it, water supply fine and a can't detect blockages. Any clues?
