Mend Kenmore progressive 12 amp Belt Problem

how to mend a kenmore vacuum?

the rotating brush is not turning so it may be a belt problem but how do you get to the belt? Kenmore progressive 12 amp vacuum.

Remove screws on bottom of vacuum. The cover plate will then lift off. The belt is on the right hand side. You may need to take off two more screws to get at it.
