Mend Hotpoint WT640 Filter Water

How can I find the filter on my Hotpoint WT640?

I have a WT640 but have lost the manual.

It seems to be washing in stagnant water as all my clothes are coming out smelling disgusting!!

I dont know if there is a filter that is blocked, but dont even know where to start looking - I see a red circle with a hand and a zigzag arrow thru it. This is situated under a drop down section at the bottom of the machine.... is this the filter??
