Mend Hotpoint WF320 Washing Machine Draining Flashing

hotpoint wf320 is filling up with water with pre wash light flashing?

Our Hotpoint Wf320 is filling up with water (too much) then eventually draining slightly but making a strange noise whilst doing so then the pre wash light and on/off button is flashing. Then nothing happens. We have cleared the filter at the back of the machine but it's still not working. Any ideas???
