help my dryer wont heat up at all, its blowing cold air. Is there any way i can find out the prob rather than buying loads of parts which would cost me as much as a new one,
I'm all for repairing (mainly because its my job)...but I must say saving the planet & all that good stuff makes sense when you see how much junk we deposit on this small planet. Unfortunately domestic appliances are just not made to last forever...even the most expensive ones. Your dryer is certainly repairable, just a matter of cost. You may be lucky & find it's only a defective thermostat. A free estimate means exactly that...shop around until you get a price you can live with.

Thanks Mike, shame just to scrap it really only had 2 belts replaced in 8yrs. Just hope the free estimate man doesnt add on a huge bill.

To find out which component is defective it has to first be identified. To do this requires electrical knowlege & a multimeter. Could be a safety cut out tripped, defective heater, heater relay, or in the worst event a shot PCB. My money is one of the first 2. If in doubt get qualified assistance.
