Mend Polaroid P-DVD820 Player Portable Disc

Polaroid DVD player will not work!! Second one I have bought!! Same thing!!?

I have a 8" portable DVD(Polaroid) that will not work it says the disc is bad but I have tried other disc and in different players and they work fine. Same thing happen about 2 years ago when I purchased my first smaller Polaroid DVD player but that one I took back and exchanged for this one same thing happened after approximatly 1 year they stopped working? If this a costly a repair I will never purchase another Polaroid product!
