Mend Chaffoteux and Maury Britony Combi SE Boiler Pressure Combination

How do I increase the water pressure in the Central Heating Circuit?

We have a Britony Combi SE Combination boiler from Chaffoteux and Maury. 2 lights are flashing, which means low pressure in the central heating circuit. What do I need to do to get the pressure back up? I've been told to put cold water into a plastic tube at the back of the boiler. is this information correct? thanks
