DAnfoss RX1 receiver for central heating wireless thermostat?

My RX1 has gone dead ( no red or green lights, no reaction from any of the buttons when pressed together or singly.) It's under warranty and is the third one to go wrong in 18 months. Do I need to replace the back plate when the new one comes or can I slot the front unit on to the same plate?
