is there an electric Kettle that is repairable?

I bought a new chiefs choice and noticed most of it was redesigned. the coaxial cylinders are now exposed and the prongs that contact them are hidden. this allows for easier cleaning and I hope it will lessen the chance of a resistive charred buildup.
my feeling about security screws "if you cant open it you don't own it". If you cant find the right screwdriver bit you can always find the right drill.

Keep on dreaming I think...

Small electrical appliances are deliberately designed and made to be super-safe - a manufacturer who offered a repairable kettle would not get the necessary compliance and safety approvals to be able to market it.

Kettles, irons, toasters all fall into this category now - either permanently sealed or fitted with security screws to stop the owners endangering themselves.

And to sell in a society where litigation is rife, like in California or any US state they will make the appliances as secure as Fort Knox.
