Keep on dreaming I think...
Small electrical appliances are deliberately designed and made to be super-safe - a manufacturer who offered a repairable kettle would not get the necessary compliance and safety approvals to be able to market it.
Kettles, irons, toasters all fall into this category now - either permanently sealed or fitted with security screws to stop the owners endangering themselves.
And to sell in a society where litigation is rife, like in California or any US state they will make the appliances as secure as Fort Knox.
