My replacement base for my Magimix 3500 runs longer in pulse position?

Hi, My 1980 replacement base/motor for my dropped Magimix 3500 works fine in the 'on' position, but is running longer in the pulse position than my old 1984 base. It's still useable pulsing, just not as quick, more like twice as long. I know it's an old motor, but these ones seem to go on forever! Anyone know if this a fault that needs looking at, or did they shorten the pulse in the later model? Thanks, Kathy.
