Why does VW GOLF GTI cut-out during journeys???

i had the same problem, cleaned the throttle body it takes air in and out. runs like a dream.

hi ! its allways difficult to diagnose faults without seeing the vehicle . have u cleaned out the throttle body and butterfly ? has that engie got an idle stabilzer valve (cylinder on top of rocker box ,piped into air hose and has multy plug on one end ) or u could have a word with my mate mark at hereford volkshop ! not much he dont know about vw s 01432 277046
