Mend Nissan Micra Fuse Box Blown

How can I fix the fuse box in my sons Nissan Micra?

A fuse had blown for the left hand headlight. When I went to replace it it had melted into the housing. I manged to clear it out but the new one is not making a clean connection and the lights keep going on and off.Is it possible to repair without having to change the complete fuse box?
