My JVC GR-D30U has no power at all, does it carry a fuse?

Took me half a day but found the surface mount fuses. You will need 20/20 vision and be pretty tech savvy as plenty of screws to take the side off.

Expose main circuit board under tft screen side and look for little black rectangles in top righthand corner next to white connector with black and red wires going to battery connector & dc socket. There are three fueses here and they should all have continuity when tested with a meter. I found the one with '2' written on it had gone and so scraped the top of it clean and shorted it out with some silver conductive paint form RS components. You should then be able to find the 11V from the power supply at the fuses. Good luck Any problems get my email from samlanyon webpage
