Mend Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine Error Codes

error 245 and then 49 on fisher and paykel washine machine?

The washine machine was washing normally, then started beeping and says error 245 call technician or something like that.

Lights work and can press buttons, but nothing happens at all. Tried the turning off and on - nothing. Hubby had a quick look and got error 49.

i have error 249 on aquasmart so it is definately there but does anyone know what it means

Ive got the exact same problem, error 245 and then 49. How do I fault find this and where can i get my hands on one of these little books.

errore 245 is the locking mechanism. cost approx $60 and can be fitted yourself.

Error 245 is an electrical fault and requires a tech apparently. That is what Fisher and Paykel just told me!

That's odd. There is no error 245 either. I would be interested to know what it stands for myself so I can add it to my book. If the tech will tell you what error 245 stands for could you post it back here? Thanks.

Thanks for that. It was error 245 and then error 49. Technician is coming out tomorrow. It is still under warranty.

There is no error code 249 listed in my service manual. Are you sure that number is correct? Error code 49 is a cold water inlet fault. I would say that your husband may of disconnected the wires to the inlet valve. Check that two blue wires are firmly connected to the cold valve & two red wires are firmly connected to the hot valve. If it is definitely coming up with error 249 then you will have to do what it says & call F&P service tech. It must be a new error code they haven't included in the book for some reason.
