Mend McCulloch 335 Primer Bulb Push

Fuel lines on a McCulloch 335?

Can anyone tell me the correct route to fit new fuel lines. Does the primer bulb push fuel into the carb or does it pull the fuel through the carb. I've put a diagram on my website.
