Mend Fisher & Paykel 406B Fridge Cold

F&P 406B freezer frosts up?

My fridge, a fisher and paykel 406B stopped getting cold, I called out the repair man who had to fix a weld on the fan on the freezer, this worked for a little while, but the freezer is frosting up again. I watched him fix it and feel I can do it, but the bigger question is, why would it keep doing this, the fridge becomes noisy, I'm guessing this is the fan and that the vibration then causes the weld to break. Any ideas?

Just because the fan is noisy again doesn't mean the weld has broken. May be a build up of ice & the fan is hitting the ice. If you take off the rear panel where the fan is & there is heaps of thick ice behind it then you will have to call back the repair man.Ask him to check the defrost system & find out why it is not defrosting itself.
