why has my performance power 38cc 14" chainsaws oil pump not work?

since i have had the chainsaw it has never used much oil at all. chain oil. it is 3 years old now, and it doesnt oil at all. the chain and bar go blue with heat. i cant find a way to access the pump.

chances are that the oil line is blocked. Best thing to do is empty the remaining oil out of the reservoir. Give the machine a thorough (and I mean THOROUGH) clean, using an air hose and an old toothbrush, then pour a small amount of solvent into the oil reservoir, which should free any thick deposits in lube lines..make sure to empty solvent afterwards, and allow to stand for an hour or two. Replace oil, and try again. Hope this helps
