It seems as though our 70/90 Eurostar boiler's Thermostat has died. It switches on & off as usual thanks to the timings we've set it to, however without the Thermostat communicating with the boiler, when it's on, the boiler is very much ON.
We're going away for days over Christmas & quite reluctant to leave it completely off. Might it be wise to turn the thermostat down & have the boiler switched on for one hour of every 4/5 courtesy of a timer switch? That way we might maintain an average water temperature in the pipes above that of freezing.....
