black smoke?

With most turbo diesels if they are not driving to the max ie on a motorway where they can have a good blow out, they will produce a lot of black smoke if you accelerate hard. What you need to do is to take it for a good run on a motorway. Failing that, press hard on the accelerator several times. it's best to do this away from peole etc. because it will fire an amazing amount of soot. Once this or the other is done you won't have any problems with emmissions.

Back to the chip provider for a turbo remap, I think....you aren't going to pass the MOT with that one.
