hoover whisper super silent dishwasher?

my dishwasher sometimes works and sometimes doesnt. often when it doesnt it shows e3. what does this mean. please help me.

On my hoover dishwasher (different model) E3 means either the filter mesh is blocked or the heater element has failed. If you machine is working intermittently it may well be the filter. Suggest you give it a good clean and see if that solves it.
