why does my key not work properley,renault egane 53 plate?

Why does my key work one minute and then it wont work another,I've changed the battery and its in the right way,now and again it says I need to change the battery.Starts the car fine just won't open it.its a renault megane 53 plate.do I need to buy a new key

Open the key and make sure the battery connections are good at the battery and at the circuit board. Check the circuit board in the key for 'dry' joints, if you dont know how try taking it to a TV repair man.
