Mend Zanussi TDS383W Tumble Dryer Drum

Black marks on tumble dried clothes - Zanussi TDS383W?

I have a Zanussi TDS 383 W dryer. Looking at the answers to similar questions - I suspect the drum has dropped at the front and needs a new front felt - I can order the part, but need some clues as to how to fit it.

Taking the top off I can see the felt but do you go in from the top, back or front?

We have the same tumble dryer and get small black marks at various places on clothes... shirt collar ends are a favourite. We think that the clothes are getting caught in a rim above thge door during the drying process... cant explain it any other way.
