drayton rf1 digistat?

Hi I have had a power cut recently and now my heating will not come on the scr on the wall by the boiler has lights coming on and the thermostat is in working order and I have changed the batteries for good measure but it is almost like the wireless signal has been lost - I have tried override on the scr and the pust button 2 release the hold button 1 then 2 then release and this should reset it but it's not working for me and on the thermostat the flame comes up but it's not triggering the boiler - don't really want to call out a plumber as it's probably something really silly that i'm not doing - please help anyone!!!
