Whirlpool Fridge ED22TQXFW00 - water smells like rotten eggs?

Not sure if this is worth fixing on a 10 year old fridge or if it can be fixed easily. I replaced the water filter and water tastes and smells fine out coming out of the water line and through the filter. After I connect to fridge the water coming out of the fridge smells like rotten eggs but tastes fine. I am wondering what in the fridge could be causing smell in the water and what the health effects are.
