4 yr old front loader not spinning not draining?

Shannon HI There are a number of issues here. The reason it is not spinning is usually due to it not draining. You therefore first need to check your filter possibly behind a small door on the bottom right hand front of the machine. Please UNPLUG the power from your machine before starting work. If you undo the the large drain cap be ready for a deluge of water. Sometimes on Zanussi's there is a small retractable hose which will pull out and allow you to drain most of the water into a bowl.
There is a small plug in the end of the hose which is easily pulled out and put back in after draining. At the end of this operation check to see if your machine will start spinning again. if it does the pump may be at the end of it's life or it is blocked somewhere.
As mentioned earlier it may just be the fiter that is blocked. The filter strainer is usually fixed to the drain cap and can be cleaned easily. Hope this helps.
