Mend Fisher & Paykel IW812 Washing Machine Fault Code

Fault code 37 - Fisher & Paykel IW812?

Just got fault code 37 on my 3-yr old Fisher& Paykel IW812 washing machine. Do you know what this is - and can it be fixed without calling for a service?

Thank you.. As I contacted the store where I bought it and was told "Oh! Error 37..I hate to tell you that you're up for a new machine" I rang f&p and they were extremely helpful and told us before anything just troubleshooting. We did this this morning with hubby taking out the pump and turning it etc. Because I didn't have the model number till now and have just found this page which has been a great help thank you.

Turning the pump / pump fan worked perfect for me. It was failing to drain and would emit a burning smell. Had to empty all the water by hand and lift up the machine and spin the fan a bit. A quick test on spin started to empty the remaining water. Was all good from then on.

Thanks for your response 'Lincoln Appliance NZ'. Yeah - the guy from F&P came today and discovered that the pump had failed and needed to be replaced.

Pump blockage error. Easily fixed. Pump is located under front right hand corner of outer bowl. Sometimes it can be cleared by turning the pump fan backward & forward until it comes free. If not then pump will have to be taken out to remove the obstruction.
