Why is the pressure dropping?

We have re-checked and my husband said there is water coming out of the overflow pipe as there is a big wet patch below it. Its just not not continuously running and thats what i thought you meant. Any ideas please

Hmmm thats a pity really.....! If pressure drops, then the water in the central heating circuit is leaking somewhere. This could be at pipe joints under the floor, or where they are connected to the radiators -or anywhere! Its also possible for the boiler to be leaking internally or within its casing too, if its getting on a bit. The latter should be obvious, as you are losing quite a bit of water.

Pressure loss means that there is a water leak in your system somewhere, Kay. Look outside to see if the boiler overflow is running first.
