gas fridge lighting?

If you hear cracking it sounds like the spark module is okay. Usually in gas position sparking is heard for about 10 seconds then quits. Most have a timed spark cycle so as not to burn out the spark module in a no lite condition. Make sure there is gas available to the refig. check for spark at burner and make sure spark gap is clean. If it has been unused for a while, check for spider webs blocking gas flow. They get into the small orifice at the pilot lite and the large orifice at the burner. Don't forget the gas shut off valve at frig.
