REPAIR SMALL HOLE IN MY RADIATOR?

I did one of these yesterday - turned off valves on both sides of the radiator and left it to leak out till dripping stops (you can speed this process if you are more competent and undo rad fittings - lots of water comes out so beware!) then cleaned back all white paint from rad around the pin hole and sanded back to clean metal. Then I used some metal Expoxy Putty (evo-stick brand) which dries as hard as nails. left it to dry for 24hrs then painted it white. cost less than £10 to fix it:-) opened valves and kept an eye on it if it is all good then bleed rad and nice and warm.

Sounds like your system is in poor condition never had any inhibitor in system to stop it rusting, system needs to be cleaned & protected with inhibitor, If one as rusted through keep an eye on the rest of radiators !!

shut off the valves at each side of the radiator & it will not keep filling & soon stop leaking,problem is you will have a cold room,you can get sealant from merchants but very temp & a waste of money ,best to put a jumper on sorry :(
