hose leaking water in nissan mica automatic?

Are you sure its the hose leaking it may be the water pump if the hose is leaking then i would not wound tape round it because the cooling sytem in a car is under pressure and the heat and boiling hot water will force the tape away from the pipe then you will have hot steam and boiling water every where you will also risk more damage to the engine (head gasket) also its no good to keep topping up the engine with tap water every time you use the car because you also risk freezing up the engine during the winter months plain water needs anti-freeze to protect the engine and also it stops the engine from corrosion replace the pipe they are not that expensive it will be worth it .
