Baumatic dual fuel range cooker - how to get access to electrical controls ?

I want to access the three electrical switches at the left end - main 'mode' switch is tripping house circuit breakers. I can remove knobs and the 2 screws below the control knob full-width fascia - it appears I need to lift the top hob plate to continue to remove the fascia and access the switches. Can anyone advise how to lift the stainless steel top hob plate - can't see any fixings.
