sony xplod remote turn on issue?

does anyone know what IC inside a sony xplod 1200w is responsible for the remote input sensing? I jumped from +12 to rem at the terminal block and it still didn't start. Amp took on a little water (in my boat) Power circuit looks fine, no fuses/traces blown. Tiny bit of water around 2 IC's (the only 2 without a heatsink over them) if nobody knows, i'll start running the numbers off all of the components... thanks!
