Water from exhaust outlet on Glowworm 18hxi?

My mother has a Glowworm 18hxi boiler fitted in her house (relatively new installation).
I have noticed that a relatively high volume water is dripping out from the exhaust fume vent.
Personally I do not feel this can be correct. Has anyone else got any thoughts on this situation ?

Sounds as if flue not fitted right !!

1. Get installer back.
2. Get Glow-Worm to check it they will tell you if flue is right.

Was it a Gas Safe engineer who fitted boiler ??

The reason your flue is dripping could be because the flue is not at the correct angle. Most condensing boilers should have the flues falling back towards the boiler, this means when the condensation builds up, it naturally falls back into the boiler then out the pipe at the bottom. Glowworm boilers have this fall built into the flue already, so the flue should be at least horizontal. Go back to installer to investigate and correct. The water that drips from your flue is corrosive

It's a Condensing Boiler, the temperature of the exhaust gasses are so low, water vapour is produced at the flue and in the boiler, there is a drain connected to the boiler which allows accumulated water to drain away from the boiler, but you will always see a certain amount of moisture at the flue outlet

check the pressure on the gauge, if it's above 3 bar then that's the problem. check that the filling loop is closed fully. if it's only happening when the heating is on then it's most likely a problem with the expansion vessel.
