Mend Durabrand PDV-705U Working Dvd Model

DVDs not working on portable DVD player?

I have a portable Durabrand DVD player, model PDV-705U.
When I record a film using my DVD recorder (onto a RW DVD disc), it doesn't play properly on the portable player. This happens when I use any kind of RW DVD discs.

Any ideas as to why this is happening?
