Hello Chris,
I can't remember if the tension dial in on the front or on the top, if it is on the front, take the thread from the reel pin, to the left round the top guide, straight down the right hand side of the tension unit,round and back up the left to the takeup lever, through the takeup lever right to left, straight down through any small guides on the way, thread the needle left to right iuf the bobbin case goes in sideways or front to back if the bobbin case goes in the front.
