how to fix my weedeater homelite zip start?

Are you getting fuel into the primer bulb? Could also be the fuel tube is cracked. Are you using about a 32:1 mixture? Sorry -not anything remotely close to an expert but kind of went through the same thing. My initial problem was a cracked primer bulb which cost 5.00 . Still didn't start so took about the whole thing apart , including carburator , engine houising and the "'driveshaft". Checked sparkplug - took carb completely apart - wiped down everything - put back everything and miracle of miracles it started and I got my lawn done. You might check your fuel filter in the gastank also. Good Luck
