how to fix my central locking?

how do i recode the key for a ford galaxy
i know if you change the battery and it take to long the keys looses the code so it need to be recoded
can i do this myself if so how

I had a similar problem once, on a 4 door Saxo. The linkage bar from the lock to the main central locking soleniod, inside the drivers side door pannel kept popping out of the soleniod end, which ment it would not operate the other door soleniods. After bending the linkage slightly it stopped in it's place and the doors all worked together. Hope this helps.
