Mend Rover 25 Engine Stopped

How do i stop over revving of rover 25 2005 model?

my rover 25 2005 has started to over rev when slowing down or stopped whilst the engiene is running. how do i stop this? it normally happens for a few days then stops but at least weekly im having this problem.
