Mend Approx Fault Fitted

how can I fix my home alarm?

My unarmed alarm went off in middle of night been in approx 8 yrs it comes up as mains fault fitted all newfuses and back up battery still same message could this be because I have not used it for a long time and it is a case of use it or lose it?
