breathing/fuel problem on gilera vxr 180 4 strokr?

i own a vxr 180 4 stroke, the problem with it is when it is nearly full throttle it cuts out like its ran out of fuel? then regains power after a few seconds, it has a aftermarket end exhaust fitted, could this be a jetting problem?, thankyou for your help?
