how do i open the door of a AEG Lavamat Turbo 16810 when it is stuck?

The door will not open in spite of the wash cycle being completed and an extra drain cycle being completed. How do I get it to open manually?

They say you should empty the filter - behind little door front, bottom right. But I've found your question 'cos I have same problem now, and it didn't work. As yr Q was 3 months ago, can you tell us what you did to open it?
