RAV4 central locking issue, remote key faulty change battery but when manually open door with key the alarm goes off and remote wont turn off alarm either
The original problem may well have been due to the battery voltage in the remote dropping below 3 volts ( per battery- depending on which remote you have ).
To resync the remote with the alarm system you should fit a new battery in the remote - press both buttons on the remote for 6 seconds - then see if all is well.
Like I said , it can depend on what type of alarm remote you have there.
