we have a worcester bosch 240 combi this has been shut off and drained down for a while,we filled it to 1.5 bar bled all rads turned gas on and everything seemed to work ok.but as it is summer we shut off the central heating and had hot water only on, everything seemed to work ok but then I noticed the circulation pump was running when hot water only was being used surley this should not happen?
Look for problems, learn how to fix them, avoid paying a 'qualified engineer'

What a terrible answer.
I have a similar issue. I had my boiler serviced by British gas and now my circulating pump is on a lot more for a lot longer - waking me at night. What the hell is that about?
I don't want a qualified engineer charging me a fortune to tell me that it's fine.

the boiler still needs to pump water around the calorifier to heat your water. stop looking for problems that dont exist and have a qualifed engineer do any future work.
