problems with memory upgrade?

I've tried to install two new 1gb ddr pc2700 ram chips. when i try to switch on my computer after the upgrade it just beeps. I've put my old ram back in and it works fine. any ideas?

Sounds like the PC doesn't like the ram you are trying to install, goto www.crucial.com and select the UK site, then check what modules you should have.

I think you're looking at 1GB 184pin PC2700 DDR333 DDR 2.5V DIMM. If you have different, you may need to exchange them
