Mend Dodge 2000 Distributor Starter Spark

2000 Dodge Van - Starts Hard?

With no warning van would not start without several tries. Distributor cap changed and spark plug wires. This did not solve the problem. When the van does finally start it runs great. The starter is not clicking. Any suggestions?
