Mend Dimplex FXL24N Convector Heater

Dimplex Night Store Model FXL24N?

This model has a booster with a switch on the side you are able to switch off if you don't want the booster. My question is does the fan go all the time with this model - ours does - does this mean the booster switch off is not working?

when you turn the dial up, the thermostate will turn the fan on only, but the switch has to be off, the fan will push out the hot air that is in the bricks, if however you turn on the switch it turns on the fan and the heating elements to create even more heat, but is expensive as not on economy seven
