Remove the coals and then the two screws located in the brass grill, lift the brass grill aprox 1/2" to clear lip on back edge of red plastic window, this allows the grill and red plastic window to be pulled clear My unit was fitted with 40w ses clear bulbs fitted from new but I only had 25w pearl SES lamps. and these were fitted, with no apparent loss in performance. To get at the lamps you need to slide the rubber sleeve that connects the drive motor to the flickering effect spindle. which then allows the spindle to be removed completely.

Dimplex Cheriton model CHT20 lamp replacement:

1.Remove the top coals (it is not necessary to remove the remaining coals).

2.Remove the two screws in the front of the brass grate assembly.

3.Lift the grate assembly upwards to detatch it from its retaining bracket and then lift the whole assembly away from the fire.

4.Remove the flame-effect rod from the motor shaft by pulling the rubber coupling off the shaft.
The bulbs are now exposed.

Replace with 60 Watt SES clear candle bulbs. Reassemble in reverse order.
