Mend Kenmore 587.15248700 Dishwasher Repair

Kenmore QuietGuard blinking issue like many other folks?

I have a 587.15248700 Kenmore QuietGUARD STANDARD. I've owned it just over a year (conveniently out of warranty). I'm having the Start/Cancel button blinking. No clicks, buzzes, sounds, water, nothing. I've tried many of the different combinations of "reset" codes that have been posted, but I'm not sure if mine is specific to another issue. The water is on, it's hot, power is there, but it doesn't want to work.
Anybody out there with an answer?

Now it gets worse !!! I just spent the $160 for a new control panel board, and the same thing happens !!! What do I do ??
