Mend Ariston LSV 66 Work Switch Handle

can I repair my Ariston LSV 66 dishwasher?

My Ariston LSV 66 dishwasher has power but it will not work. The switch located with the handle had not stopped the cycle as normal as you open the door. The cycle was still running as the door was lowered, as the door got to a certain position the cycle stopped and the machine has not worked since. Can anyone tell me if my machine has broken beyond repair or does it have a safety cut of switch that can be reset?
