coolant level?

yes the coolant bottle goes 3 1/4 empty to bring alert up trouble is car doesn,t over heat and pressure test says water pressure fine

Thanx for the reply is coming more complicated now a garage has pressure test the system no problems with head gasket ect but start car from cold run 3 or 4 miles then says coolant low and if open bonnett there is bit water around coolant bottle no where else had to top it up around 4 times for 20 mile trip no one knows what it is looks like could be good by car

hi ian,your car should not lose any water unless theirs a problem & this could be a simple split hose or faulty thermostat or right down to the nasty one head gasket, i would place the car in a dry spot or garage if you have one,then leave the engine running & you should be able to see where the water loss is from,best of luck
